Paladino Says He’ll Drop Out If He Loses Primary (UPDATE!)

This is somewhat comforting, especially given his Taxpayer ballot line intiative… but I am more concerned about the tone Paladino has been taking in recent weeks and months. I understand that many on the right are skeptical of Lazio, but Paladino has been nuturing that skepticism, instead of actively calling for unity after the primary. Paladino’s mere presence in the race now is the problem, and the longer he stays in the more likely he could, if his campaign ends in September, be a spoiler even while not being on the ballot.

If he loses, those drawn to his candidacy are more likely than most primary voters to decide not to vote in November. I would love to see Paladino and Lazio pledge to unite their supporters after the primary.
