Wouldn't I? Maybe I just like to tilt at windmills. That's my right, isn't it? I love this country -- the freedom to waste my time on the bleatings of mindless conservatives.

Contrary to your implication, Andy, I did in fact note Snowden's prior involvement in Republican politics.

It is amusing how you are so persistent in labeling this blog a "BS Republican blog," yet, you feel you have to try to rebut the content.

If you really thought it was BS, you wouldn't bother spending time here.

Is that, in fact, the point? Or is the point that this is a BS Republican blog machine that is so full of crap that it tries to make up issues where none exist?

The point is, is that unlike Jack Davis who isn't taking special interest money, Jon Powers and Brian Higgins are taking pervert money into their campaigns. I wonder if Jon and Brian are taking free lap dances on the side as well? Shame on anyone that has taken his money.

I wonder what these people will say when Snowden's joint gets busted for prostitution as is heavily rumored.

of course if you had done more research you'd have seen that I did in fact note in an earlier blog entry that Snowden has contributed to both parties in the past, but he did become a Democrat in 2006.

Of course, in 2006 Democrats made a habit of criticizing Republicans over the sources of their contributions and trying to shame them to return them (though they were less interested in returning their own tainted money -- such as their Abramoff cash) so you'll have to come up with a better argument than "republicans got Snowden cash too," and charging me with spewing spin.

Never let it be said that I didn't do the least that I could do.

Go here (http://www.fec.gov/finance/disclosure/norindsea.shtml). It's the FEC's search engine for individuals. Type in "Snowden, Ric."

What will you find? You will find that Mr. Snowden has given a lot of money over the past 15 years to a lot of candidates in different places. You'll also see that the far majority of his beneficiaries were Republicans.

Who did "Matt" leave out of his post? Let's see...

The National Republican Senate Committee (campaign arm of US Senate GOP). They got more than $26,000.
The NRCC, the Senate's House counterpart. They got $7,000
The Republican National Committee -- $6,250
Nevada Congressman Jon Porter -- $5,100
Tom Reynolds (Mark Foley apologist and guy who likes to use young children as political props) -- $4,000
Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) -- $3,500
Nevada State GOP (Federal) -- $2,000
Former GOP Nevada Rep. (now Gov.) Jim Gibbons -- $500
Bush/Cheney (no description needed) -- $2,000

In all, Snowden spent a little over $82,000 on federal candidates and committees. Only $22,159 (less than 27%) went to Democrats. Almost $60,000 (or about 73%) went to the GOP.

Now I know what you're thinking -- it must be Snowden's wife with the Democratic leanings in the family. Seems she's bipartisan as well, though her donations were a lot more evenly split (actually with a majority going to Democrats). Out of a total of $15,700 donated by her, $7,100 (or about 45%) went to people like Reynolds, Porter and Bush.

So there you have it. If you're going to be critical, tell the whole story, not the BS GOP spin that you've been spewing. I'm not saying that people shouldn't take money from Snowden -- he owns a legal business and he has every right to engage in the political process. But tell the whole story.

Do you still stand behind your opinion?
